How to apply for legal aid
To receive legal aid you will have to prove that you cannot afford to pay for the costs of your defence.
We will complete an application on behalf. If you are successful, your fees will be paid by the Government.
To apply, we will need financial information relating to your income, your assets (for example, any properties you own), and any benefits you receive. If you have a partner, we will need their financial records too.
